Research Synopsis
Our laboratory seeks to understand the role of DNA methylation changes in cancer, with a current emphasis on epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). DNA methylation changes in cancer consist of both DNA hypermethylation (often a driving force for tumor suppressor gene inactivation) and DNA hypomethylation (which is linked to oncogene activation and genomic instability).
