Safety

The Cancer Center Safety Core, under the direction of Dr. Eleanor Rogan, provides assistance to investigators in planning the safe utilization of carcinogenic and biohazardous materials. The Safety Committee reviews safety protocols, and these must be approved prior to initiation of experiments. The Safety Committee ensures that approved protocols are followed and that all aspects of laboratory safety, including fire protection, are observed. The committee regularly reviews the safety guidelines and makes additions and corrections as required.
