The goal of the Ophthalmology Residency Training Program at UNMC is to educate future ophthalmologists in their quest to become outstanding clinicians, surgeons, and leaders in ophthalmology. We aim to teach and inspire our residents to pursue excellence in patient care. We also provide educational support and mentorship to foster an interest in research for those residents who choose to become clinician-scientists, either in the clinic or laboratory.
Throughout their training period, residents will be taught, challenged, and inspired by our faculty. The Stanley Truhlsen Eye Institute offers state-of-the art facilities for residents. We hope to educate future leaders in ophthalmology who will prevent vision loss among individuals in our community, nation, and world.
We invite you to apply to our residency training program and hope you will support our educational endeavors.
