Dr. Shane Havens is a native of Fort Collins, Colorado. He received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Science from Creighton University while playing soccer for the Blue Jays. He then spent a year in Kansas City working on various Multiple Sclerosis research trials before returning to Creighton University for medical school. He completed an internship with the Internal Medicine Department here at UNMC before beginning his ophthalmology residency. Shane enjoys spending time with his son; Pierce, and wife; Lori, mountain biking, bass fishing, and soccer.
