Sarah Wierda was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Creighton University. She then returned to her home state and graduated with her Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Dakota. Sarah completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center before begining her ophthalmology residency. She enjoys being in the outdoors, knitting, spending time with family, friends and traveling.
