Goals

  1. The student should learn that there are differences in models of practice from the University Hospital and Clinics.
  2. The student should learn to identify oneself as part of the medical profession.
  3. The student should have individual patient responsibilities under supervision.
  4. The student should learn the physician's role in community activities.
  5. The student should develop an understanding of the business management of the preceptor's practice.
  6. The student should learn and understand health care costs.
  7. The student should realize that Family Practice is a valid discipline in clinical medicine.
  8. The student should learn the importance of continuing education by engaging in mutual learning with the preceptor.
