Offers:  MS in Medical Research
Requires: 38 course hours, usually completed over three years. Includes ethics, biostatistics, epidemiology, healthcare research and original research project and thesis

Med Student Summer Research Scholarship Program

 

For: Students in UNMC College of Medicine, especially first-year
Offers: Credit for summer rotation, stipend
Requires: Application describing research plan; letter of support from faculty sponsor; 8-12 weeks, 40 hours per week

Graduate Research Assistants

 

For: Graduate Students enrolled ar area institutions
Offers: Tuition up to 9 hrs/semester; annual stipend
Requires: 20 hours per week; collaboration with research faculty

Faculty Mentoring Group

 

For: Junior FM Faculty
Offers: Orientation to expectations of academic medicine and information and skills to be successful and productive faculty member
Requires: 10 monthly half-day sessions, portfolio development
