UNMC's series of radio commercials for spring 2004 focus on UNMC’s education and outreach missions by highlighting the College of
Nursing’s Distance Learning Program, the College of Dentistry’s Dental
Day and the Goodlife Clinic that is operated by an interdisciplinary
team of students.
The Nursing commercial features Wendy Denman from Alda, Nebraska.
Wendy just graduated with her B.S.N. which she earned through the
College’s Distance Learning program. This program allows those who
already have an R.N. degree to earn their B.S.N. through online
courses. Stephanie Burge, CON faculty member in
Kearney, also comments on what this program means for these students
to remain working and still grow professionally.

access to dental care. Dental and dental hygiene students gain
invaluable experience providing care and an understanding of what it
means to give back to the community.
