Interphase FISH

Test Includes:

Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) for the detection of +13, +18, +21, & sex chromosomal abnormalities

Indications:

Advanced maternal age (age $35), abnormal prenatal screen, ultrasound findings, parental chromosome translocation, and other fetal risks for genetic disease.

Sample Requirements:

10-15 mg in sterile tissue culture media. Call HGL to schedule.

Shipping Requirements:

Transport at room temperature. Deliver ASAP with a completed Cytogenetics & Molecular Cytogenetics Requisition form. Notify HGL by calling (402) 559-5070 when specimen is being shipped
