Interphase FISH

Test Includes:

Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) for detection of fetal aneuploidy (trisomy)

Indications:

Unexplained miscarriage

Sample Requirements:

0.5-1.0 cm² (sterile) chorionic villi and/or fetal tissue in tissue culture media. Amniotic fluid if IUFD or therapeutic abortion, if possible.

Shipping Requirements:

Place in tissue culture media provided by HGL. Ship at 4^oC to prevent desiccation. Deliver ASAP with a completed Cytogenetics & Molecular Cytogenetics Requisition form. Notify HGL by calling (402) 559-5070 when specimen is being shipped.
