This specialty area focuses on diseases of the liver and biliary tract. Some of the more common areas of hepatobiliary disease include cirrhosis, hepatitis, neoplasia, gallstones, and cholecystitis.  

This specialty area is staffed by specialty trained and board certified General Surgeons. Clinic is held in the UNMC Physician's Surgery clinic located on the 5th floor of the Durham Outpatient Center. Dr. Sasson also sees patients in the Peggy Cowdery Cancer Care Clinic in the Lied Transplant Center, 3rd floor.
