A New Life is a support group open to anybody who has already had Bariatric Surgery. 

Our New Life Post Surgery Support Group is lead by Dr. Peterson, a Licensed Psychologist, with an interest in obesity.  She works closely with the obesity surgery program at UNMC.  This support group will focus on patient needs after surgery, but all patients are welcome.  Our support group is an opportunity for patients to receive and provide mutual support after surgery.   We welcome all patients who have had weight loss surgery.  We hope you will bring your family and friends so that they can learn more about your decisions regarding weight loss surgery and help support you after surgery. 

We meet the 1^st Monday of each month from 6-7 p.m.

This support group will focus on patients needs after surgery.
