Who We Are

The University of Nebraska Medical Center is the only public health science center in the state. With nearly 3,200 students, and 4,700 faculty and staff, UNMC is a tremendous economic driver in Nebraska. UNMC’s research funding from external sources now exceeds $100 million annually and has resulted in the creation of more than 2,400 highly skilled jobs in the state. |

As the teaching hospital for the University of Nebraska Medical Center, the Nebraska Medical Center assists in the training and education of more than 1,000 students annually. This 689 bed facility is Nebraska’s largest health care facility – with more than 4,900 employees and more than 1,000 physicians on staff. |

With more than 500 doctors and 650 employees, UNMC Physicians is the largest physician group in the region. Through their partnership with UNMC, UNMC Physicians are committeed to providing innovative, compassionate care to patients. UNMC Physicians teach future doctors and also bring advanced treatments to their patients through their continual dedication to research. |
