Advisement

The Health Informatics Graduate Advisory Committee at UNMC will oversee and be responsible for advising and training students.  This committee will approve the student's initial course of study prior to the creation of a supervisory committee.

Students are expected to select an area of emphasis, a Supervisory Committee Chair/Advisor, and a three-member (including chair) Supervisory Committee by the end of the first semester of their program.  The chair of the Supervisory Committee must be a member of the Health Informatics Supervisory Faculty and at least one committee member must be faculty at UNMC.  The Supervisory Committee and Chair are to be approved by the Health Informatics Graduate Advisory Committee.
