Summary of Services
Employee Relations is
responsible for and provides the following services:
- Reward and
Recognition, including the administration of the Gold U, Silver U and
Vital Thank U Awards as well as the annual Service Awards Dinner.
- Employee
Organizational Development, including Learn@Lunch, Management Series,
Foundations for Success, as well as other developmental workshops and
seminars.
- Leaves of
Absence, including the administration of Family Medical/Military Leave
("FMLA").
- Reasonable
Accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA")
- University
Policy and Procedure Interpretation and Training.
- Federal and
State Employment Law Compliance, including Affirmative Action and EEO.
- Employee
Relation Issues, including conflict resolution/problem solving,
harassment/discrimination and performance management.
- Facilitation of
the Employee Grievance Process.
- Administration
of the Employee Satisfaction Survey, Exit Survey and New Employee
Orientation.
- Unemployment and
Worker's Compensation.
