Human Resources Fall 2012 Learn@Lunch Series Breakthrough Perspectives on Problem Solving: Making the Shift
UNMC Human Resources will launch its fall sessions for the
Learn@Lunch Series on September 19th, with "From Problem to
Possibility", from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m at Sorrell Center, Room
2010. The speaker for this session will be Susan Ann Koenig, J.D.,
Executive Coach. Do you ever feel like you are the only one who sees
the problem? Are you frustrated by problems that seem to have no
answers? Are you tired of dealing with the same problems over and
over? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, this
Learn@Lunch is for you. This session will help you to bring clarity
on which problems are yours to solve, bring focus when competing
priorities slow down progress, overcome the inevitable obstacles to
solving a problem and restore your enthusiasm for finding solutions.
The next session will be on October 17th, with "Appreciative
Inquiry" from 11:30a.m. - 12:30p.m. at Sorrell Center, Room 2010.
The speaker for this session will be Carol Horner, President,
Synchronicity Inc. Appreciate Inquiry is an innovative way at
looking at problem-solving. Its premise is that in every human
organization something is working well; find it and duplicate it.
Appreciate Inquiry is changing our mindset from running from
something (problems) to running towards something (solutions). This
session will review techniques that advance planning,
solution-finding, and that create positive, sustainable change in
organizations.
The last session will be on November 15th, with "Power is in the
Question", from 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m. at Sorrell Center, Room 2014.
The speaker for this session will be Angela Galloway, Consultant.
Problems will never stop. They are the energy that brings creativity
and innovation to life. So how do you harness that energy and be a
part of the solution? It is in the power of the question. Find out
what powerful questions can assist you in everyday problem solving.
In this session you will pinpoint questions that will identify the
root cause of a problem and obtain insight to where you may stop too
soon.
Classroom size is limited to 80 people and registration is
required. A boxed lunch will only be provided to participants who
have registered to attend the session. To register, log on to
