The Four Phases of the Global Strategic Partnership Program

We have designed and developed a very unique four-phase training and educational program for our Global Partner Institutions.  If you would like more information of how to become one of our partners, please contact us as (402) 559-3090 or via email at oihs@nebraskamed.com.

We offer your institution unique professional and patient participation programs, which are unmatched by any other US institutions.  At the core of UNMC’s international mission and commitment is its dedicated focus on providing training and observerships for its global partner’s healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses and allied health professionals).

Currently we have strategic partnerships with over 100 leading healthcare centers and institutions in 41 countries.

Our International Global Partnership Program offers distinctive benefits to our global partners. Our goals are to:

Establish long-term relationships with our Partner institutions in Patient Care, Training, Education, Research and Exchange Programs.

Provide Scholarships of Clinical Excellence and NO-Cost Training programs to healthcare professionals of our Global partner institutions, so that the patients in our partner institutions can be the ultimate beneficiaries of the latest technology, protocols and treatment options without leaving their own countries.

Establish “comfort-levels” between our specialists and specialists at our Partner institutions, so when needed, we can serve as a source for consultation and/or referral for our partners’ patients.

Provide the best, electronic medical second opinion services for physician consultations, pathology and genetics.

Form true collaborative joint-ventures with partner institutions for super-specialty programs (such as Stem Cell Transplantation) that can be sustainable at our partners’ institutional facilities.

We provide rewarding, educational, medical-exchange programs for our international partners. In addition to on-site observership, our extensive programs make use of electronic technology transfer systems to provide access from remote locations to expert consultation and the most advanced healthcare education and medical technology.

Our No-Cost programs are designed to help prepare physicians, nurses and other specialists to launch the best programs at their own institution or to enhance their existing programs. We will create customized training programs for our partners in the areas outlined in this booklet. We strive to design our training programs to best match the needs of our partners.

PHASE 1: Physician International Scholarship for Clinical Excellence

welcome1

In an effort to provide a short term post-professional fellowship platform for collegial exchange, a shared passion for education, research and the enhancement of skills, Clinical Excellence Observership Scholarships are offered to our partners’ qualified healthcare physicians. Your team members may take advantage of our latest patient care protocols and programs, use our extensive medical library, research material and have access to our vast, on-line research capabilities and the newest technology, all free of cost. The only cost to your institution will be the expense for your staff’s transportation to Omaha.
