UNMC's Impact on Clinical Trials
As the state’s only public academic medical center, UNMC is poised to handle even the toughest medical challenges, and offer patients with life-threatening diseases unique, cutting edge treatments that aren’t found anywhere else.
Through a first of its kind program, the Eppley Cancer Center at UNMC is working with hospitals in Grand Island, North Platte, Scottsbluff, Kearney, Lincoln and Hastings to bring its cancer clinical trials right to patients in their own communities. Clinical trials are studies involving patients in which doctors test the safety and efficacy of a drug or other treatment measure.
