Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Dumitru serves as the Medical Director of the Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Program at UNMC. Dr. Dumitru completed her cardiology fellowship at UNMC, while doing intensive study on Heart Failure at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Dumitru is the only UNOS-certified (United Network for Organ Sharing) physician in the State of Nebraska. Dr. Dumitru’s excellence in patient care was noted as she was named a recipient of the "Physician of Distinction Award for Patient Specialty Care" in 2007.
