Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Darrington is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Oncology/Hematology. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, College of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Darrington has been the Medical Director for the Cancer Survivor Program at UNMC since 2006. Prior to her current position, she practiced Internal Medicine in a community private practice in Papillion, Nebraska . Prior to her medical school education, she worked with oncology/hematology patients at UNMC as a physician assistant for eight years.

Dr. Darrington is an allied member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and a member of the American College of Physicians. She has published clinical research manuscripts regarding secondary malignancy in lymphoma patients after high-dose therapy and blood/marrow transplantation.
She is presently focused on research in the area of optimal models of delivery of care to cancer survivors in rural and urban areas, latent effects of cancer treatment and management of chronic disease in cancer survivors.
