Allen-Gipson Lab Research Opportunities
Over 10 trainees consisting of Graduate Students, Undergraduates and High School Students have trained in the Allen-Gipson Lab. Our laboratory is located in the new Durham Research Center II, a state- of-the-art research facility. We are continually interested in identifying talented individuals to add to our research team.
Postdoctoral fellow(s)
Anyone interested in doing postdoctoral research in the lab should contact Dr. Allen-Gipson. Be prepared to supply a curriculum vitae, statement of research interests, and three people who can write letters on your behalf. Specific information can be found at the Office of Postdoctoral Education.
PhD student(s)
Any student who is interested in pursuing their thesis research in the lab who is in good standing in the PhD program of the Medical Sciences Interdepartmental Area at UNMC contact Dr. Allen-Gipson. Apply at UNMC Graduate Studies.
MD student(s)
A UNMC medical student who is interested in spending a summer in the lab conducting research should contact Dr. Allen-Gipson. Interested UNMC medical students should contact Sonja Cox (sacox@unmc.edu).
Undergraduates
Any undergraduate student who is interested in spending their summer in the lab in an independent research project should contact Dr. Allen-Gipson. Interested applicants should visit Summer Undergraduate Research Programs web page.
