M3 Students
M3 students may elect to spend time during their Internal Medicine outpatient experience in the Pulmonary Subspecialty Clinics. A description of that rotation follows:
Rotation Description
This elective is designed to provide the 3rd year medical student with a varied exposure to Pulmonary Medicine. Students on the service will shadow attendings, fellows and residents in the UNMC Specialty Clinics and may also conduct patient intake interviews. Clinics include Cystic Fibrosis, Allergy/Asthma, Nodules/Cancer, Lung Clinic and Occupational Medicine.
There are a number of didactic lectures scheduled, usually at 11:00 a.m. in addition to case conferences, research conferences and grand rounds.
This pulmonary rotation is appropriate for motivated M3 students seeking a broad experience in Pulmonary Medicine.
