Faculty Development Center

Location:
The Faculty Development Center (FDC) is located in the Business Service Center (4230 Building), room 2093. The attendant at the entrance of UNMC ITS will require a UNMC identification badge to obtain access to the FDC. If the requesting individual does not possess a UNMC identification badge an UNMC ITS Learning Environment & Internet Services (LEIS) staff member will need to sign the individual into UNMC ITS and escort the individual to the Development Center.

Who can use the Faculty Development Center (FDC)?
The intended use of the room is for faculty development, therefore only UNMC faculty and "Faculty-Sponsored" individuals will be allowed to use the facility.

Available Resources
With a scheduled appointment, Matt Rutledge, Instructional Technologist,  is available to assist you with using the FDC hardware and software.
The Faculty Development Center supports both Windows and MAC platforms. The Faculty Development Center offers work stations with a specific purposes:

• Microsoft Office
• Edit digital video
• Convert/compress images
• Narrate audio for PowerPoint Presentations / Articulate Presenter
• Blackboard assistance
• Scan 35mm slides, images and transparencies
• High definition video recording for educational purposes
• Convert video for DVD and web distribution
• Create Podcasts
