One of the most common calls to the ITS Helpdesk relates to password resets.

System-wide problems will be announced on the Helpdesk voice mail.

Please provide the Helpdesk analyst the following information.

  1. Phone number and office location.
  2. Pertinent ID's related to the problem
  3. Organization/Department, e.g. UNMC/Orthopedics, TNMC/Orthopedics, or which Service Level Agreement if applicable and, if known, which IT technician normally services your area.
  4. The nature of the problem including errors received.

In addition, when customers call, we will give all callers the following information:

  • The name of the analyst taking the call and assisting you.
  • A trouble ticket number used for reference in tracking the call should you have to call back.
