Accessing and Granting Permission to Rooms/Resources or Calendar Only
Outlook 2010 - Room Access and Permission .pdf
A. Owner Opens Calendar or Room Resource (From Outlook 2010)
- Home tab > Calendar view > Open Calendar
- Search for your room (generally by dept first… ITS… CON, etc.)
- OK
- The room will now appear under your calendars
B. Owner Grant Permissions
- Check box room you want to change permissions, then right click on the highlighted room
- properties > permissions > add >
- select individual(s) from address book
- Change permission level (Editor is needed for individuals to place meetings directly on the room calendar. Note the default setting is “none”, so if you want anyone to be able to see free/busy you will need to change the default permission.)
- Select appropriate permission
- Apply > Ok
C. Other’s Accessing the Room
Once editor access is given to an individual they can open the room through their calendar by going through steps A 1-5.
