Software Downloads

Adobe	Adobe can be purchased by contacting the ITS Coordinators at datainstallserv@unmc.edu or through their departmental IT person. Customers must ensure they are appropriately licensed. Our current Adobe product license agreement generally allow users to install and use software on a single computer. However, Adobe realized that many customers need to use software on more than one computer, such as a desktop and a laptop. Therefore, the Adobe license agreement for products that require activation has changed to allow individual users to install a secondary license for non-concurrent use. Product activation allows installation on two machines. (per Bradley Logan, UNL Procurement)
Antivirus Software for Home (Personal Machines)	The campus antivirus software agreement allows faculty, staff and students to use on a personal device. This can be obtained through eServ using your UNMC NetID and password. Symantec (Faculty/Staff) Students Distance Allied Health Students

Microsoft @ Work	The University of Nebraska has an enterprise Microsoft Campus Agreement that enables the use of MS Office and Windows for faculty and staff with UNMC purchased workstations and laptops. The desktop package includes: Office Professional Plus – use any version of Office including Office Professional Plus 2010 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note, Outlook, Publisher, Access (Does not include Visio) Windows Professional Upgrade – use any version of Windows (ITS does not recommend Windows 8 Enterprise for campus workstations; and Windows XP is being phased out.) Client Access Licenses (Core CAL) - use of Exchange email, Lync Instant Messaging, Forefront Endpoint Protection and Windows Server STD, SCCM (System Center Client Manager); and Share Point STD (ITS does not have an enterprise Share Point solution at this time). Core CALs do not include server licensing for these products. To request an upgrade to Microsoft Office or Windows, go to Employee Services https://net.unmc.edu/eserv and click on ITS. (Each unit is billed annually for their portion of the campus agreement.)

Statistical Software	SPSSSAS for Faculty ($40). Email ITS Data Installation Services and provide customer name, department and cost center SAS for Students ($25). Complete the Online Request Form and pay with your credit card. Students will then take the confirmation e-mail to the ITS reception desk in the 4230 building to pick up a set of installation disks and instructions. The disks are the property of UNMC and are being loaned to you for the purpose of installing SAS on your personal PC. Since there may be times of high demand, please call 9-7263 to confirm that disks are available before you come over. The disks will be returned to the ITS reception desk or mailed to ITS - 5030 when finished, be sure to include your name in the return package.
