MedlinePlus was developed by the National Library of Medicine to provide consumer health information. The site includes guides to health topics, as well as drug information, dictionaries, directories, and information on organizations.

eMedicine provides review articles concerning a wide variety of diseases and health issues. The articles are updated frequently. Both patient-oriented and professional-level reviews are available. Free registration or the use of the Library's subscription (authorized users only) is required. Additional, freely-available, patient-oriented content is available at http://www.emedicinehealth.com.
Healthfinder

Healthfinder was developed by the U.S. Health and Human Services Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion in collaboration with other government agencies. It's mission is to serve as a gateway to consumer health and human services information on the World Wide Web. The site contains links to "selected online publications, clearinghouses, databases, web sites, and support and self-help groups, as well as the government agencies and not-for-profit organizations that produce reliable information for the public."
InteliHealth - professional and consumer level

InteliHealth is supported by Aetna. Much of the content is produced and/or reviewed by the faculty of the Harvard School of Medicine. The site offers a variety of consumer-oriented services and information. The drug information sheet content is from MICROMEDEX. The"Index of Herbal Medicines and Supplements" provides a large number of thoughtful, well-organized, and adequately referenced herb and supplement monographs.
