Using the Library Collection
- Use of the Library's collection of print and electronic materials is available on-site to any visitor. Hours and maps
- Nebraska health professionals and faculty from other Nebraska colleges may obtain special borrowing privileges by contacting the Circulation department at 402-559-4006.
- Access the Library's catalog, Helix, to see if we own a book or subscribe to a journal.
Literature Databases and Journal Articles
- Order articles from the library that are found in PubMed by utilizing the National Library of Medicine's Loansome Doc service. Contact the Interlibrary Loan Department at 402-559-7085 or email illdept@unmc.edu for price information and to set up an account.
- Access MEDLINE via PubMed and over 50 other electronic databases and books available without restrictions.
- The Reference Department will search MEDLINE and other health databases for you at no cost. To request a search, contact the Reference Department at 402-559-6221, 866-800-5209 (toll-free), askus@unmc.edu, or fill out the online request form.

- Find consumer health resources including our Consumer Health Information Resource Service (CHIRS) available to all Nebraska residents and patients at The Nebraska Medical Center.
