LiveGreen Scene is a series of presentations that will explore a range of environmental issues that confront us all at home and in the workplace. The following are the programs that have been presented.

May 1, 2014, John Fech returned to present a LiveGreen Scene on Spring Lawn and Garden Care. He covered Turf Math: What to apply, and how to figure out how much and when to apply it for healthy turf; Potted Salad Plants and Herbs; and Tools for Efficient Watering of trees, shrubs, and vegetables. The presentation was held in the auditorium at the Durham Research Center at noon. If you missed it, you can see it here.
April 25, 2014, Stephanie Huettner was the featured presenter from the Henry Doorly Zoo at a LiveGreen Scene. She described conservation and sustainability efforts at the Zoo as well as conservation and sustainability efforts by zoo partner organizations. The presentation took place at noon in the Duham Research Center auditorium. You can view the presentation here.
October 24, 2013, LiveGreen hosted John Fech from the UNL Extension Office to speak at a Fall LiveGreen Scene. John discussed fall lawn and garden topics, including preppeing for winter. The presentation was held in the Eppley Science Hall Auditorium at noon. June 18, 2013, LiveGreen held a lunch and learn on sustainable landscaping. John Fech from the University of Nebraska Extension Office presented "Sustainable Techniques, Plants for Problem Places, and Rehabilitating Lawns after Drought". During Earth Week on April 16, 2013, LiveGreen Scene presented "Sustainable Landscaping for Your Home". Representatives from Kinghorn Gardens discussed landscaping strategies for the home that are both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible. Watch the video here.
On Tuesday, October 30, 2012, LiveGreen Scene held a presentation on the reEnergize Program. This program is sponsored by the Cities of Omaha and Lincoln and provides significant incentives to homeowners to make energy-saving upgrades to their homes. Thursday, January 26, 2012 – A short film, "The Story of Stuff," a recycling expert conducted an audit of the contents of a typical campus trash bag and discussed what can be recycled, what can't and what happens to various items after they are thrown away or recycled.
Thursday, February 16, 2012 – An appointment with the energy doctor told us ways to make our homes more energy efficient, environmentally friendly and less costly.
