For over two decades, The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC have been recycling on campus. In fact, since 1989 over 21 million pounds of paper, cardboard, and other recyclable materials has been collected on campus for recycling thanks to the efforts of Environmental Services staff and other committed employees. Looking to the future, the hospital and university are currently evaluating additional ways to reduce waste and increase recycling by making enhancements to their current programs and processes.
