How should I order my oligos?
The web page http://bims.unmc.edu/MBC/dnarequest.html
Please use capitol letters and no spaces.

What scale should I order?
For simple PCR 40nmol is sufficient,.  Large scale screening may require 200nmol to 1umol.  Tissue culture or NMR experiments may require from 2umol to 25umol

What type of purification do I need?
Simple PCR and sequencing generally only need simple desalting.  Cloning or mutagenesis requires a higher level.

What is the turnaround time?
Desalt and Cartridge are 2-3 working days
HPLC or Page is 10 working days

In what form do I receive the oligos in?
Dried down

Why are my oligos white sometimes and clear other times?
If the sample freezes during dry down, the DNA may appear white and fluffy.  If the sample doesn't freeze, it will probably dry clear.

How should I store my oligos?
Dried down at -20oC or aliquoted with the majority dried down.

How are oligos quanitated?
UV260

Is there a phosphate on the 5' or 3' end?
NO!

What is the longest sequence that can be synthesized?
150 bases

What dyes are available?
6-Fam        Hex
Tet             Tamra

Scale vs Yield:
40nmol +/-  9 O.D. depending on length (desalted)
                  5 O.D. purified

200nmol +/-  20 O.D. depending on length (desalted)
                    12 O.D. purified

1umol +/-  100 O.D. depending on length
                   50 O.D. purified

2umol  +/-   200 O.D. depending on length
                   100 O.D. purified
