What is MIS?

MIS stands for Minimally Invasive Surgery, also known as laparoscopic surgery.  Minimally Invasive Surgery is surgery done through 3 - 4 small incisions.  These incisions are approximately 1/2" in length.  The patient is often allowed to go home the same day of surgery and is able to return to work within a couple of weeks.
