The public is invited to attend the Garden Walk on June 9th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. rain or shine, hosted by the Munroe-Meyer Guild, a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities through fundraising for the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Munroe-Meyer Institute.
The Munroe-Meyer Guild's 45th Garden Walk features five fantastic Omaha gardens that individuals can stroll through to view unique and creative displays in landscaping, plants, flowers and water features. Master gardeners will be present to answer your questions and vendors will be at Oakdale School, directly west of the garden at “Grand Oaks” and the garden in “The Grove”.

Proceeds from the event benefit the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute, whose mission is to improve the life of individuals with disabilities and their families, by providing grants for research. In the past year's grants have supported:
- Software to analyze images of brain neurons and other cell types for research on Alzheimer’s, intellectual disabilities and autism.
- Head caps for toddlers to young adults which will allow sensors to determine brain activity when they are walking, talking learning etc.
Advance tickets: $15 (June 6th is the deadline to purchase online tickets)
Day of event tickets: $20
(Children under 5 admitted free; no strollers are allowed in the gardens)
