The Adult Genetics Clinic provides genetic evaluation and counseling for adult patients with a variety of inherited conditions. Individuals with a known diagnosis, a suspected diagnosis, or a family history of an inherited disorder may be referred for evaluation, genetic counseling and further diagnostic testing.
The following is a list of common indications for our adult genetics clinic:
- Connective tissue disorders (e.g., Marfan syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
- Family history of a genetic condition other than cancer
- Family history of young cardiac deaths or cardiovascular events
- Neuromuscular disorders (e.g., Huntington’s disease, early onset ALS)
- Skeletal dysplasias
Clinic is held on Fridays.
