Departments and Faculty

The University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) is part of a national network of 67 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Services (UCEDD). UCEDD's are authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, Public Law 106-402, 42 U.S.C. 6061 - 6066, to build the capacity of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families. Funded by the federal Administration on Developmental Disabilities, UCEDD's are located in each U.S. state and territory. UCEDD's support the independence, productivity, and inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in the community by providing interdisciplinary education, research, service and technical assistance.

MMI Faculty and Staff provide advocacy, promote systems change, and help build the capacity of Nebraska to provide services and supports to persons with developmental disabilities and their families.
