Helping Build Community Supports Your Child and
Family Need Through the EDN Planning Region Teams (EDN)

Did you know that Nebraska has local Planning Region Teams (PRTs) statewide to coordinate early intervention services at the community level to better serve infants, toddlers and their families? This training will help you learn about Nebraska’s Planning Region Teams and how you can be part of your local team.  The workshop will allow participants to:

  • EDN LogoUnderstand the history of Nebraska’s Early Development Network (Nebraska’s Early Intervention System) and how it supports children and families
  • Review the Nebraska law that requires state and community agencies to work together to help children and families
  • Understand the role and responsibilities families have in family-centered programs
  • Learn the skills that families need to be valuable members of Planning Region Teams and state teams, including helping to develop your child’s Individualized Family     Service Plan (IFSP) and Individualized Education Program (IEP)

Mark Smith: Community/Family  Outreach Coordinator at the Munroe-Meyer Institute & Family Co-Lead for EDN

Registration Fee (registration deadline is June 14, 2013, 5:00pm CST)
There will be no cost to participants. Individuals/Couples participating both days will receive a $150 expense reimbursement.
* Travel stipends available as well as hotel accommodations (on a limited basis)
