The Children’s Developmental Clinic is best suited for individuals who have complex medical issues and would benefit from seeing multiple specialties at one time. Specialists involved in this clinic include: genetics, orthopedics, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech, neurology, neurosurgery, social work, developmental pediatrics, dietician, metabolic bone, psychology, pulmonology, and urology.
Typical reasons for referral include:
- Congenital anomalies (i.e. spina bifida, hydrocephalus, club foot)
- Failure to meet developmental milestones
- Medically complicated children who require visits to many different specialists
Clinic is held each Wednesday starting at 8 am. Patients are typically screened before a visit to determine whether this clinic is appropriate for their medical care.
