UNMC Physicians at Plattsmouth

Plattsmouth ClinicThe Plattsmouth Behavioral Health Clinic was established in 2001. The clinic, located in the UNMC Physicians Building in Plattsmouth, provides outpatient behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and families in Eastern and Southeastern Nebraska. It is housed in the same clinic as three pediatricians, allowing for a team approach to treatment and a high degree of privacy for patients.

The primary staff is Dr. Judith R. Mathews, who is a Licensed Psychologist and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Munroe-Meyer Institute at University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Mathews earned her PhD degree in Developmental and Child Psychology from the University of Kansas and has a BCBA specialty certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. She has been on faculty since 1994 and is actively engaged in training of pre and post-doctoral psychology interns as well as medical students and residents. She specializes in assessing and treating behavioral health problems in children with disabilities as well as children with common behavioral, academic and developmental issues.

Dr. Mathews is available on Thursday afternoons.
