Welcome to the Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Core Facility of the UNMC. June 30th, 2012 marks the end of our fifth year of operation. With strong support from UNMC, NRI and INBRE programs, the core was able to add new personnel and expand services offered to UNMC investigators. Current instrumentation offers investigators a broad range of analytical capabilities.
Over the past few years, we have seen a huge increase of interest in mass spectrometry and proteomics. To foster this interest and the development of proteomics on campus, we are pleased to announce a new grant program designed to help investigators with the high start-up costs of new projects. Under the "Core Facility User Grant Program", UNMC investigators can apply for awards up to $5,000 that can be specifically applied toward Mass Spectrometry and Proteomic Core Facility services. We also initiated and continue to build a strong bioinformatics infrastructure in alliance with Holland Supercomputer Center and College of Information Science and Technology at UNO. Thanks to all who supported our efforts in building strengths of MSPCF.
