Conferences

A calendar is published monthly from the Neurosurgery Section which details all conferences, their dates, times and locations. Residents are encouraged to attend all conferences.   

The conferences include:   

• Neurosurgical weekly staffing conference at UNMC
• Neuropathological/Brain Cutting at UNMC twice a month
• Tumor Clinic and Conference monthly at UNMC
• Tumor Clinic at Methodist/Children's monthly
• Neurologic Grand Rounds bi-weekly at UNMC and Methodist/Children's
• Neuroradiology Rounds held weekly at UNMC
• Neuroscience Research Seminars TBA at UNMC
• Neurosurgery Morbidity and Mortality and Quality Assurance held monthly at UNMC as well as at Methodist
• General Neurosurgery Conference held on the fifth Wednesday of the month alternating between UNMC and Methodist/Children's.   

The residents are provided semi-annual visiting professorships at UNMC in the spring and Methodist/Children's in the fall each year.
