In cooperation with the Institute for Health Protection, UNMC CON-CNE is offering a certificate program for advanced practice nurses actively involved in patient care at hemophilia treatment centers. This program consists of seven accredited modules and a comprehensive certificate exam.

- von Willebrand’s Disease and Other Bleeding Disorders
- Sexual Health in the Hemophilia Patient
- Advanced Clinical Assessment Skills
- Treatment Options

Practicing Clinicians Exchange
|
Practicing Clinicians Exchange (PCE) is an innovative series of live continuing medical education/continuing education (CME/CE) activities and home study materials created specifically for nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs). The 2008 Symposia Series has been designed to help clinicians keep up-to-date on recent guidelines and clinical trials and provide techniques for evidence-based management of conditions commonly encountered in the primary care setting. To complement the expert medical faculty, nationally recognized NPs and PAs will moderate each program to ensure a peer-to-peer learning experience. They will also lead the audience through interactive case study exercises and offer their real-world perspectives during the question-and answer sessions following each presentation.
