Target Audience
Registered nurses providing direct patient care, nurse managers and leaders in hospitals and clinics and other interested healthcare professionals.

Purpose
The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to address health needs of women residing in Northeastern Nebraska using research findings and comprehension of national and local health inequities.

Objectives
At the end of this activity, the learners will be better able to:

  1. Identify social determinants of health, local and state health inequities, and strategies to equalize those identified.
  2. Discuss research implications that relate to the cardiovascular health and engagement in healthy lifestyles of women living in Northeastern Nebraska.
  3. Engage in interactive dialogues with healthcare providers and clients concerning strategies to increase the health and wellbeing for women in Northeastern Nebraska.
