A graduate's extraordinary spirit of service
Alum Michelle Kowalczyk (left), BSN 2004, advanced to her MSN in 2010 and is now an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. After going to Tanzania as a medical volunteer in 2007, she and friend Kim Krowne (right) co-founded the Knock Foundation. Its purpose: to create opportunities for the impoverished to help themselves. It work includes orphanages, education, health care and sustainable projects — like how to raise crops, livestock and income. More information at Knock Foundation.
