New division: The Norfolk Division is the newest of UNMC’s 5 statewide nursing campuses. This August 23, it launches a dynamic new BSN curriculum in a new, state-of-the-art facility.

Extraordinary community support: Local leaders invited UNMC, as part of its campaign to solve the state nursing shortage, to bring nursing education to Northeast Nebraska. Area residents raised nearly $13 million for a Collaborative Nursing Education Center. The innovative partnership includes the regional community college and health services system.

About Norfolk: Located in the Elkhorn River valley, Norfolk is a thriving city of nearly 24,000 in a trade area of over 100,000. Three counties in the immediate region rank #2, 3 and 4 on Money magazine’s 10 Best Places for Jobs. Norfolk is within a 2.5-hour drive of the Lincoln and Omaha metro areas — each also with a College of Nursing division. More information: www.norfolk.ne.us
