Norfolk’s Learning Resource Center
The UNMC College of Nursing in Norfolk, Nebraska (Northern Division) is the newest campus, opening its doors in the Fall of 2010. Two entities share the space - UNMC and Northeast Community College, with UNMC College of Nursing having the undergraduate nursing program in place on this campus.
The Learning Resource Center space is on the second floor in the state-of-art building and includes a large hospital lab, computer lab for students, simulation rooms, and clinical skills labs with technology in the classrooms to facilitate the best possible learning experiences for the students.
Approximately 48 undergraduate students are admitted into the traditional (two year) program every year. There are thus approximately 96 undergraduate students in attendance during the school year. The Norfolk campus also has graduate students (from distance programs) who utilize the LRC.
Equipment available to students:
- Audiovisual library: DVDs, CDs, health care books related to nursing education
- Nursing equipment: Blood pressure cuffs, neurological kits, otoscope/ophthalmoscope, visual aids for teaching, and more.
