Where to Begin
The accelerated program is now available on our Omaha, Lincoln and Scottsbluff campuses. To be admitted into the Accelerated Nursing Program the student must have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university/college in addition to the pre-requisites listed below. International students must have their course work evaluated and have the equivalency of a baccalaureate degree prior to matriculation.

*Math competency includes one of the items below: 1) A math score of 22 or greater on the ACT 2) An acceptable decision score for ASSET (36), Compass (32) or other equivalent college math placement test 3) Grade of C or better on intermediate college algebra, college algebra, or any other math course that demonstrates readiness to meet the entrance math requirement of eligibility for College Algebra 4) RN to BSN students only: Grades of "C" or higher in both college chemistry and statistics demonstrate math competency. **The required elective includes ONE additional course from only ONE of the following categories: Humanities: Provides knowledge of the history or creation of music, art or knowledge of literary, philosophical or religious efforts. Political Science/Social organization: Provides knowledge of the structure or governance of societies, economics, urban, agricultural, industrial or the natural environment. Family & Human Behavior: Provides knowledge of individual, family or group behavior. Culture, race, ethnicity, gender: Provides knowledge on social experiences or creative works on diversity in the U.S. or the world. Instead of one of these courses, a student may choose a course in either genetics or immunology. |
