Pelvic Model
 

Each student will be given the educational opportunity to perform a pelvic exam on a live model.  You will be instructed on how to perform this exam.  If you have additional questions regarding this experience, please contact the Clerkship Director: Loyd Holm, DO - or the Clerkship Coordinator; Jill Ramsdell.

Objectives:

1. Review basic female anatomy

2. Enhance communication skills for obtaining gynecology history information; as well as increase patient comfort through creation of appropriate pelvic exam setting

3. Practice obtaining cervical pap smear, cervical and vaginal culture samples, and bimanual exam techniques
