Each student will be given the educational opportunity to
perform a pelvic exam on a live model. You will be instructed on
how to perform this exam. If you have additional questions

Objectives:
Review basic female anatomy
Enhance communication skills for obtaining gynecology
history information; as well as increase patient comfort through
creation of appropriate pelvic exam setting
Practice obtaining cervical pap smear, cervical and
vaginal culture samples, and bimanual exam techniques
