UNMC Brown Bag Lectures and Video Library

Lunch-hour Brown Bag Lectures are offered on the third Tuesday of every month, with the exception of summer months (June-August), to all on the UNMC/The Nebraska Medical Center campus.  Lectures typically take place at the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater and can be viewed afterward here in the Video Library.  One nursing credit is offered for each lecture attended for $10.  All lectures are free and a light refreshment is offered to participants.  We encourage everyone to bring their lunches.  REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  To register, please call the Resource Center at 402-559-6345. 

Olson Center Video Library

To view the Olson Center for Women's Health presentations, you will need to use Real Player. If you don't have this software already, you may download it from Real. Please check back frequently as more lectures will be added on an on-going basis. These lectures are for the community and health care providers.  Beginning in September 2012, you will also need to download the free Quicktime software.  If you are still having difficulty after downloading Quicktime, please go into Quicktime on your computer; click on edit; click on preferences; click on Quicktime preferences; click on advanced and uncheck the "Enable Direct3D video acceleration."  This can cause a problem with older PC's and their video drivers.

Attention Nurses! Nursing credit is available for some of the following lectures. To obtain nursing credit:

• Follow the link to the lecture.

• After viewing the entire lecture, follow the link to the evaluation form located under the lecture link. Click on the.pdf file link and print.

• Complete the evaluation form.

• The instructions on the evaluation form will ask you to print out a Nursing Registration Form. Complete this form.

• For each lecture viewed, mail the completed Nursing Registration Form, completed lecture evaluation form, and $10 to cover the cost of the 1.0 nursing credit to:

You should receive your nursing education certificate within 3-4 weeks.
