During pregnancy one of the most valuable things a woman can offer her unborn baby is proper nutrition. The Maternal Care Program at the Olson Center for Women’s Health employs a full-time Registered Dietitian that is dedicated to providing nutrition services to our patients during their pregnancy.
The dietitian educates patients on healthy eating, appropriate weight gain, exercise and the benefits of breastfeeding. Also, education for patients prior to delivery about healthy postpartum weight loss.
Pregnant women that qualify for the WIC (Women Infant Children) Program are enrolled on WIC at the Olson Center by the dietitian and are provided vouchers for healthy food. To register, please call 402-559-4500.
