Diane has worked at the Medical Center for 12 years, first in the Departments of Psychology and Developmental Pediatrics and then in March 2005, she moved from the clinical side of UNMC to join OSEMA in the position of Administrative Associate.  She is now the Administrative Assistant for Dr. Sonya Smith, Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, and continues her work with administrative assistance in the OSEMA office.

Diane is responsible for general office administration, including the development and maintenance of the OSEMA website, organization and support of the summer funded programs, monitoring recruitment initiatives, implementing new outreach activities, and maintenance of confidential files on prospective students. She reports directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and provides administrative support to the Associate Director and Outreach Retention Specialists, as well as the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP. 

In her spare time, Diane enjoys quality time with her three children (ages 31, 28, and 17) and five grandchildren (ages 9, 5, 4-year-old twins, and 2 years).  She enjoys camping, swimming, reading, is a golf enthusiast - and is an avid Husker fan.
